The purpose of this project is to support the development of the social enterprise sector in Canada by conducting surveys that highlight the size, scope and impact of social enterprises at the provincial level.
Funding for this project came from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Institute for Community Prosperity at Mount Royal University, and generous local sponsors and supporters. Our ongoing work is supported by Enterprising Non-Profits Canada, the TRICO Foundation of Calgary and the Employment and Social Development Canada.
These surveys were conducted with tremendous support, dedication and enthusiasm from provincial leadership groups who want to contribute to the development and growth of social enterprises in Canada. Without these organizations, this initiative would not have been possible.
If you represent a social enterprise and want to be included in a future survey, please contact the person in your province.
If a survey was not conducted in your province, please contact Peter Elson or Peter Hall.
